Most ghee on the market is made from A1 milk of crossbred cows, using a centrifuge machine to extract cream, which is then heated industrially. The result is smooth, flavourless, and nutritionally depleted.
Haryana Farms 500ml A2 Bilona Ghee is made from scratch — starting with the milk of our own Sahiwal desi cows, raised on natural fodder in Karnal, Haryana. Sahiwal cows are one of India’s finest indigenous breeds and produce milk containing only A2 beta-casein protein, which is gentler on digestion and richer in nutrients than A1 milk.
The milk is boiled slowly on a wood-fire chulha, set naturally into curd, hand-churned with a traditional wooden bilona to extract makkhan, and then simmered on cow dung cakes until it becomes deep golden, aromatic ghee with a natural grainy texture. This is ghee your grandmother would recognise.
